He began training during his second sophomore year when the university started offering martial arts as an elective. He had found his calling and from that point on wanted to eat, sleep, and breathe martial arts. More training meant giving up more shifts at O'charleys and Hollywood Video, but by committing to Ramen it was all possible.

A Ramen Ninja was born.
